Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 30, 2026

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using YAMLTool (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of service

YAMLTool provides free, browser-based tools that convert YAML data into other formats (including JSON, XML, TOML, CSV, Properties, INI, TypeScript, JavaScript, Markdown, and HTML). All conversion happens client-side in your browser; the Service does not require an account, does not process payments, and does not upload your data to a server.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape at scale, or resell the Service without permission.
  • Use the Service to process or generate unlawful content.

Your content

You retain full ownership of any YAML or other data you paste or upload into the Service. Because conversion happens entirely in your browser, we never receive, store, or have access to that content, and we make no claim to it whatsoever.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Conversion output is generated automatically and, while we aim for accuracy, we do not guarantee that any converted output is error-free, complete, or suitable for every use case. You are responsible for reviewing and validating any output before relying on it, particularly in production systems.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, YAMLTool and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Intellectual property

The YAMLTool name, branding, and the design and code of the Service are the property of YAMLTool and its operators. You may use the Service for personal and commercial conversion tasks, but you may not copy, redistribute, or rebrand the Service itself without permission.

Third-party links

The Service may link to third-party websites or resources (for example, in our FAQ sections). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site.

Changes to the service or these terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
